I really love renaissance festivals, they are one of the small handful of places where I feel like I can truly be myself, and King Richard's fair in MA is one of the best! My parents have been taking me to ren fests since I was quite young:

That's me at maybe 12 being very unsure about firing arrows at the Arizona renaissance festival

At perhaps 16 at the Michigan renaissance fair
I brought my traveling rat with me as I did to a fair earlier this year, this is his second time meeting royalty, though it is his first time being kissed by a queen!

I dressed as Ylgr, my Changeling/Half Faerie/Troll (it's complicated) character, I had dressed as her at the parade in Salem and my tail was an absolute hit there, as it was at the fair
Everyone being in costume, the beautiful things you can buy and beautiful buildings and beautiful fantasy everything is why I love ren fair's so dearly and I cannot wait to go to another as soon as I can!

I also created this video as a love letter to the company which created my fantastic tail:
And this video which is my introduction to Ylgr as my character for a larp with some of my friends, I've never made something of this sort but it was tons of fun to do and I hope you'll find it enjoyable.
What sort of character would you play in a larp? I can't wait to tell you about Diana's baths tomorrow!
