Your Swedish word of the day is körsbärsblom, which means cherry blossom.
I'm not sure I've seen them in person before coming to Sweden, perhaps sporadically but never in great numbers.

Today was Valborg, called Walpurgisnacht in Germany, it is a celebration where people light big fires and sing songs to welcome the Spring. There were parades here as well. This is also a Pagan holiday, Beltane, so the mood of today was very much about feeling thankful for and celebrating Spring. I was lucky enough to spend mine being bombarded by a storm of Cherry blossom petals, and I wanted to share this experience with you.

Ahhhh!! I love cherry blossoms! They're the friendliest trees! I might be an Animist, Cherry blossoms make me feel intense feelings of peace and love. Thank you for sharing this!!
