Tropikariet

Tropikariet is an indoor zoo in the middle of the city, I've never been to a place like this before and I think it's wonderful, especially since many of the animals are not behind glass or fences or anything. There are many rooms that are like terrariums mimicking different climates and parts of the world and the animals roam freely, it's a really unique chance to be very very close to exotic animals.

It's also only SEK 220 for adults and 110 for children. It's definitely somewhere I would bring people who were just visiting Helsingborg for a short time, if they have a strong interest in animals. The best room of all to me was one mimicking night time in the jungle where fruit bats freely fly around, one of them flew right next to me several times and I've never been that close to a bat, it was really amazing!

Truly I don't like insects but I respect them and it's actually quite nice to view them where they cannot touch me at all.

I liked this bird and said Hej and Hejsan to him in hopes that he could speak. Those are your Swedish words of the day, hello and howdy respectively.
