Avalon - Glastonbury Tor, Glastonbury Abbey, Worth house

Glastonbury tor, like chalice well, is a place of immense magic and healing. The well is at the foot of the tor essentially and I think next time I visit I will climb the tor first and then go to the well to relax. While it is only 260 steps, it's entirely uphill so it can be quite the climb. The hill is perhaps one of the entrances to the faery otherworld, and I believe it is. Faeries often live within hills, when I was very young I acquired the name I use in pagan spaces from a dream I had of such a hill. I dreamed I was walking around a large hill following a falcon and eventually came to an opening in the hill. In my dream the inside of the hill had it's own sky, it was not really underground it was a separate world inside of the hill, and the creatures who inhabited it called me Aisling. So since then I have used the name Aisling, when I worked at a witch store or at Pagan book signings, anyone who has met me in a pagan space knows me as Aisling. I have a few names, but Aisling is specifically very precious to me.

When I reached the top I saw this, it seems someone had been doing magic here and I think that's beautiful. Next time I hope to be here with a group of friends and perhaps we can all preform a ritual or meditation here. I think a sound bowl would be amazing within the tower as well.

Following this I visited Glastonbury abbey, I think I have overused the term 'profound healing' when referring to this place but I really am not exaggerating. Glastonbury is so full of places where a person can really heal their mind, body and soul all concentrated in one small area I think everyone should go here at least once in their life.

I cannot imagine how beautiful it must have been when it was all intact.

I was so happy to see more roses and I found this petal on the path!

The above is an altar that resonated such intense energy it's difficult to put it into words. I meditated and prayed here and the energy was thrumming almost, through my chest specifically. It made me cry it was just an intense resonance of love. While I am not a Christian, I believe that love for Christ himself is something separate and I feel the same love for Christ that I feel for Kuanyin, Buddha, for my Gods, ancestors and other spirits I work with every day and it feels like this spot is just overflowing with love for and love from Jesus.

I was also so blessed to kneel before King Arthur's tomb. Glastonbury is so incredible, I feel like I cannot actually do it justice or convey the emotional experience of being here.

Worth house is the name of the bed and breakfast where I stayed, it was so comfortable and when I come back again I really want to stay here.

My room happened to have a hare on the door.

Breakfast was wonderful (they have blackcurant jam!) and the doormat matched my socks, wonderful!

I intend to talk about Glastonbury again, my plans are to return perhaps in 2026 with a group of friends!
