Hellebore

I got this magazine when I was in England and I'm excited to talk about it, anyone interested in witchcraft, history and folk horror will enjoy it. I really love enchanted living magazine and fae magazine, both of them being about witchcraft and paganism, faeries, folklore, travel and other such things and I am always looking for more material by and for people who lead lives similar to my own.

This issue was about animals and had chapters discussing the folklore, legends and magic revolving around several animals, real and mythological. I learned a lot of strange pieces of folk magic from England that I had never heard of before, the most interesting to me being how people used to use toad bones for a variety of things including controlling horses or dispelling unwanted attention.

Obsessed with the antiquated design of the pages it's just wonderful to look at. I like dismantling magazines like this so I can use the pages for decorations or use them in my journals and grimoire. There was also an entire section about hares.

I want all of the back issues now, I cannot wait to read them. You can buy them here and if you do you will have to let me know if you purchase any, I'd love to hear other people's thoughts about it.
